I am Ellie
Mum, Grandmother, Daughter, Friend, Auntie, Sister, Widow.
To all these titles I am proud to add fully certified Independent Funeral Celebrant. I live and work within my own family business in Truro.
My life changed forever last year when I sadly lost my wonderful husband of 43 years. That experience showed me the importance of getting it right, which is why I trained to become a celebrant.

Funerals
Saying goodbye to a loved one is one of the most challenging moments in life. I will help you craft a ceremony that feels right, whether it's a celebration of a life well lived or a quieter reflection.
Scattering of Ashes
A ceremony for the scattering or burial of ashes in a special or meaningful place, providing a time of closeness for friends and family with appropriate words for healing.
Memorials
Ceremonies that take place separately after a funeral, where the individual is remembered, their life is celebrated, and their loss is acknowledged.
End of Life Ceremonies
A service of visiting, listening, and planning for individuals approaching the end of their life, offering a cathartic experience for them and their loved ones.

- A personal visit to meet you and your family to gather information to design a ceremony and create a funeral script

- Advice and assistance in choosing appropriate readings, poetry and music for inclusion in the ceremony

What does a Funeral Celebrant do?
A Funeral Celebrant is a professional who leads a funeral service. My role is to work closely with you to create a personalised tribute that reflects the life, personality, and values of your loved one.
Can we include religious elements in the service?
Yes, absolutely. As an Independent Celebrant, I can include as much or as little religious content as you wish: be it prayers, hymns, or readings, or none at all.
How do we start the process?
Usually, you would contact me directly or through your Funeral Director. We will then arrange a family meeting to discuss your wishes and begin crafting the ceremony.
Do you travel for services?
Yes, I cover Truro and the surrounding areas within a 30-mile radius. I am happy to travel further by arrangement.
Can family members participate in the service?
I encourage family and friends to be as involved as they feel comfortable being, whether that's sharing a memory, reading a poem, or choosing music.
